GÖRLITZ - Structured solutions for the smart grid
The Swiss Smart Days has evolved to a prestigious event and this year proved once again successful and informative. The 4th Smart Grid Day and 4th Smart Meter Day were the perfect occasions not only to renew old acquaintances and establish new ones, but more important to learn how the energy market is evolving. Attendance was high on both days, consisting of a cross section of important role players in the market. Diversified themes were addressed and debated – from a status report on activities in Switzerland to a report on decentralised load profile management in Tessin.
GÖRLITZ Schweiz AG, representing the company’s shareholder, IDS Group, displayed next generation solutions on an information stand. As a particular highlight, visitors to the stand learnt more about the first joint Swiss Smart Grid Project. The IDS Group specialise in IT and automation solutions for Smart Metering and Smart Grids in the utilities and disposal sectors of the international market. The innovative product and service portfolio is designed for all aspects of a technical grid operation.
The latest addition to the GÖRLITZ product palette, the COMfor series was strongly in evidence. The communication adapter, COMfor.adapt is tailored to the demands of smart meter rollouts. It includes integration in Landes+Gyr E350 residential meters in IDSpecto, automated topology management, tariff control, it is the core component of our Smart Metering solution and supports the open standards based NES system. The COMfor.enVIEW.MTR enables consumption data to be visualised live in customers’ technical landscapes, as a Plug&Play module, it permits Echelon meters to be easily integrated in customers’ home networks. The solutions were viewed with great interest and enthusiasm by visitors to the stand Ingo Schmitt, the managing director of GÖRLITZ Schweiz stated, “it confirms we are treading the right path in the market, and are ideally equipped to meet the challenges on the way.”
