GÖRLITZ - Further Step towards Metering Systems
The content of the Technical Guidelines TR03109 have been stipulated and create clarity for all market participants. This is a milestone, the Koblenz based GÖRLITZ AG has significantly been involved in drawing up and is very much welcomed.
Now, it is official. After several iterative sessions, the comments on TR03109 of BSI (Federal Office for Information Security) have been published in the present version 1.0 in Berlin. The basic contents in the Technical Guidelines are now specified. This creates clarity for all market participants.
"Finally, we have legal certainty and investments for the implementation of metering systems are ensured." Ralf Hoffmann from GÖRLITZ AG welcomes the publication in Berlin. Since 2011 with the entry into force of the EnWG, the company has cooperated as expert with BSI and DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technology) on the technical concepts for metering systems. Simultaneously to the conception, we have established necessary framework conditions for the development of metering systems. Therefore, we are perfectly prepared to offer the required new technologies at an early stage."
Along with Smart Meter Gateways, which will be responsible for collecting and tariffing consumption data in the future, GÖRLITZ will also offer the specific system infrastructure for administration and processing of billing data. GÖRLITZ will provide this supplementary service to customers who want to avoid the integration of gateway administrator functions due to the high requirements on the system infrastructure such as basic IT protection and ISO27001 certification.
''Companies are advised to consider these new technologies at an early stage and build up expertise within their company." states Dieter Novotny from GÖRLITZ AG. "Installing the required infrastructure and receiving certification will take some time."
